John Gray
Born in Sydney Australia 1963 The 70's John started skateboarding in 1974 at Quakers hill in Sydney where he rode the walls in the local canal, he also rode at a host of other Sydney hot spots including Harris Park bowl, Manly Skate City and North Ryde skate park. In 1978 John became Junior state champion after winning the first half-pipe contest in NSW held at Manly Skate City. The 80's
In the early 80's John became a member of the coke sk8out team and
performed The 90's
John owned and operated one of Sydney's finest skate shops "Get Rad"
from were he organized and designed facilities at Blacktown City
Pool, Penrith City Pool, Fairfield City Pool, these were some of the
finest facilities at that time, He was also involved in design and
construction process for the Volcom tours. The 00's John is currently a regular competitor in the "old school' contest series and also enjoys competing in the slalom events which have become popular in recent times with results including 1st in SOS 2003, 1st Melbourne OS 2003, 4th QLD OS 2005, 4th Qld OS 2005, 4th Australian Slalom Titles 2006, 2nd Bowl SOS 2006 and first in the Ballina Fair Go in 2005 and 2006. At 44 years of age John still receives partial sponsorship from companies such as Osiris shoes, Coretech, K'n rad cork risers and BTS.
